Macquarie has been active in South Africa since 2000. It has offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg and offers stock broking, corporate finance and advisory, funds management and structured securities services to the African and international markets.

Our corporate finance expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and project finance advisory spanning the infrastructure, resources, telecommunications, media, entertainment and technology, and industrials industry sectors. Funds management activities include the establishment and management of Africa focused infrastructure funds. The stock broking business provides sales and sales trading services with the capability to execute trading strategies as well as ability to structure tailored solutions and derivative solutions to address the needs of corporates and institutions. Macquarie is an active participant in the securities lending market in South Africa.
